Your working assumptions
Start with a representative week. Include the time someone will still spend reviewing the output.
ESTIMATED NET CAPACITY PER WEEK
8.7 hoursPotential time released after the new review effort.
A planning estimate, not measured savings. Assumes a steady 52-week workload. Excludes setup, maintenance, monitoring, usage costs and any change in task volume.
How the estimate works
Weekly capacity = tasks × ((current minutes × assumed reduction ÷ 100) − new review minutes) ÷ 60.
With the example inputs: 100 × ((12 × 60% − 2) ÷ 60) = 8.7 hours per week. Negative results mean review would consume more time than the proposed change releases. Test the assumptions on a pilot before using the estimate in a business case.
